Talk:The Big Wisniewski
- Killed him with a 35 lb sombrero. Got 294 total substats. Assuming the 263 listed for him is correct, then that gives him a monster level of about 2646. Minus the +15 ML I was running gives about 2631. --Tz BG 19:35, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
- Justin add to the discussion, I hit him today for 2187 damage total and he died. My last hit was for around 400 damage. I had my muscle buffed to 424 and was dealing about 400 each round. My moxie was buffed to 244 and he was only doing around 8-11 damage to me each round. --jlechem 10:04, 25 July 2008 (MDT)
- There is a typo in KOL for the section [and shattered glass "sculptures." ], the period should come after that quote. Anyone feels like letting someone know, go ahead because I don't know how. --Plater 20:01, 9 August 2007 (CDT)
- Well, Plater, there's a forum thread for reporting grammatical and spelling errors and such... [1] --Sir Clement the Meek 19:35, 3 January 2008 (CST)
I removed this comment because there was a marmot in the movie "The Big Lebowski" who ripped at the main character's flesh because it was thrown in a tub with him.
- The marmot which "rips at your flesh" in a combat message suggests the title of a Frank Zappa album, Weasels Ripped My Flesh. --Gleezus 09:08, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
- I'll re-add it with the reference to the movie scene, then. I think it's a example of the devs' fondness for combining allusions.
Could the mist on the battlefield that obscures the parts that havn't finished loading be a reference to the "kryponite fog" of one of the superman games? (Forgot which)--Kevinzhou3 12:31, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
Can you use the flaregun on him?--Poketape 10:42, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
You can go over 30 rounds against Wisniewski. Took me exactly 49 today. --She ulli 13:43, 13 July 2007 (CDT)
I got between 1905 and 2052 for his HP. --Ataradan 00:53, 23 July 2007 (CDT)
I got exactly 2000 by Cone of Whatever-ing him for a total of 1990 and using spices until he dropped.--Pirate ninja 21:08, 28 September 2007 (CDT)
I think we need a strategy article for This Guy and The Man. --wexer9 17:36, 30 July 2007 (CDT)
An excellent way to kill him is to buff your moxie up to 500 or so with reagent potions, so that he can't hit you. --wexer9 11:07, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
Another strategy to kill him is to hit him with gas balloons and to attack him while hes knocked out and when he wakes up hit him with another, this is convenient because the War Hippy Green Ops drop gas balloons.
His moxie for no hit is around 260. I Had 260 moxie, the Mind control was (accidentally left) on 10, and I got hit about 2/3 of the time.--Nord 17:12, 3 August 2007 (CDT)
- At 261 moxie with no ML, I'm not getting hit at all. --Yubi Shines 21:25, 21 January 2008 (CST)
Isn't the whole dialogue about the ferret's death a reference to the JFK conspiracy? --Molotovnight 14:51, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
You get up to 50 rounds to beat him. Also, out of those 50 rounds, I was hit 4 times, which I guess were critical hits (I wasn't paying attention to the messages). My moxie was 284. --EEpiccolo 13:09, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
Stench damage is ineffective against him. Eau de Guaneau causes +1 damage instead of +50.--Quax 11:38, 19 December 2007 (CST)
Hey guys, every single thing that Wisniewski says is a reference The Big Lebowski, either by This includes the jfk thing, the ferret tying the room together, etc. Yes references are crossed, as they are wont to be, but Lebowski is the controlling influence. Hd 06:46, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Just defeated him by getting a whole load of Tequila Grenades, a pair of super amplified boom boxes, and by using potions to give me... Comic Violence, Engorged Weapon, Fishy Fortification, Chalky Hand, Well-Swabbed Ear, Hippy Stench, Permafrosty, Object Detection, Izchak's Blessing, Strength of Ten Ettins, Strange Mental Acuity. Can't remember what the potions were, I just went a bit click-happy having been beaten by him about six times now... he only got one hit on me in the (roughly) 10 rounds. I'm a Level 15 Disco Bandit with a full set of skills, Moxie at 229. --IrregularShed 13:40, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Just beat him with 264 moxie, and detuned radio set to 10. Was hit about 1/3-1/2 of the time, for 8-10 damage each time. --Naturefreak2101 05:58, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Hp difference
I am a disco bandit with 204 buffed moxie. I used 57 plots holes(an effective way if not a bit expensive for some people) He attacked me 4 times and hit once. After those plot holes i got a crtical hit with LTS which was 350 in total. The plot holes did 1425 and lts is 350 so that is 1775. It those turns my familiar did about 150 damage. So his hp for me was 1925. Maybe his hp has a range? --Karoly1 16:29, 11 December 2007 (CST)
Spading his stats
This talk page is a mess. Can we please take this seriously, people?
- Lvl 13 DB, 244 buffed moxie, no +ML, ranged weapon. The damage I did to him didn't really reveal anything. I hit him every round (according to the Weapon Damage page his defense easily overpowered any damage from my muscle (111)(unless his defense is less than 83, which would be absurd), and all the damage I did was approximately equal to what I predicted using 15% of my weapon power + my bonus damage). The info from him hitting me was far more useful. He hit me every round for the first 6 rounds (except for 1 fumble), at which point I chose to delevel him rather than risk losing the fight. I used Tango of Terror once and he hit me twice in the next 7 rounds (including the round in which I used Tango). None were critical hits, none were fumbles. At this point I was in grave danger of losing the fight, so I used Tango again. The fight lasted 7 more rounds, he did not hit me once (I don't think he fumbled, but he may have, I had to rush the end of the fight due to rollover). Assuming the Safe Adventuring page is right about the relationship between moxie and monster chance to hit being approximately linear between 100% hit at moxie = ML-6 and 0% at moxie = ML+7, I figure Wisniewski had an attack of ~248 for this fight.--Knobula 04:17, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Tips
MindlessGames just added a comment with a summary "How often we forget that these kinds of tips are helpful for newbies", explaining how "with access to a Slimeling, getting a slime stack or two can be incredibly helpful". How is that a useful tip? What newbies have slimelings? Newbies are likely to have a big pile of plot holes on hand, and can easily farm for them. And newbies are likely to have a Drowsy Sword left over from level 11. Wouldn't those be better tips? --Club (#66669) (Talk) 22:40, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- My rationalization is that there is no better place to put tips like that than on the Monster's page itself. Sure, many newbies may not have a Slimeling, that's fine. However, part of my hope is that people will take that example and put down other things that they do to attack a very powerful monster such as Wisniewski. I often don't think about Wisniewski as an obstacle at all; Though, from a low-skill perspective, he's a very big hurdle. Also, I just mention "low-skill" for a reason, that does mean they could have a Mr. Fam or three, or possibly a Slimeling. Just some thoughts. Other things can obviously go in here, de-levelers, shrinking powders (do those increase ML? I should spade that), lots of choices, many of which may not be apparent to someone that's just trying to beat the given monster. Maybe we could create a Combat Tips page? --RoyalTonberry 09:36, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- I think that the Slime Stack tip (and the suggestion about plot holes) are both a bit too specific. The most basic tip is that you can beat him by using lots of stunning / deleveling combat items, along with a familiar that sometimes blocks attacks, in order to keep him from doing too much damage until you've deleveled him to the point where you can beat him in a straight fight. I just did a no-permed-skill HC ascension and beat him with a mixture of handfuls of sand, handfuls of sawdust, plot holes, roofies, diseases, black pepper, patchouli incense sticks (which still worked against him, oddly enough), wussiness potions ... the kitchen sink, basically.--Rpxx 19:33, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
