Talk:The Convention Hall Lobby

From A KoL Wiki

I think the vials of slime that can be cooked have different effects for different people. My effects are entirely different from the ones listed in the wiki so far. I don't have notes for all of them, but for instance I get Mucilaginous Moxiousness from amber slime instead of the teal slime listed in the wiki. --Hepsibah 13:57, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Vial Drop Rates

I've been missing vials at +402.90% item. Best guess is that they're probably unaffected by +item%, which would be.. odd. --RoyalTonberry 06:59, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

  • Missed again at +585.90% item. I'm not going to even bother trying to get +900% to test the 10% base drop barrier. --RoyalTonberry 07:17, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
  • If you have the turns and resources for it, even a few hundred turns at around 400% would nail the drop rate down pretty cleanly. Then you could run another 100-ish at, say, +200% to see what, if any, difference you observe. --Flargen 08:11, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
  • I've been noticing that I need a certain percentage of the damage to come from the Gu-Gone to have vials drop. I used to use 1 saucestorm, 1 jiggle, and 1 squirt to get vials. With my stats boosted, I now need to do at least 3 (on average) squirts to get the vials. --The Tofu Man 17:08, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
    • I was killing them with nothing but Gü-Gone (because I didn't know better), and was still missing drops sometimes. My suspicion was the same as Tonberry's, that +item% has no effect. I'll have another chance to play with this when my other character gets around to the Sauceror Nemesis. --Jef 01:29, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
    • I fought (only using Gü-Gone) 112 fan slimes, 114 vendor slimes, and 104 booth slimes and got 73 yellow slimes, 69 red slimes, and 67 blue slimes. That works out to be about 2/3rds drop rate. I didn't notice any difference from item drops. (I fought more under other conditions, but don't have stats on those.) --Club (#66669) (Talk) 21:39, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
    • I wasn't having good luck with the bottle of Gu-Gone and getting slimes to drop. Apparently the Gu-Gone has to be the killing blow in order for the slime to drop. It seems that I'm getting a vial of slime each fight I use the Gu-Gone as the killing blow and I've got 0.00% item drop atm.--Spiny Twizzler 06:33, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
    • Ok scratch that, I finally had a miss on the drop :( I suppose it's possible that the final Gu-Gone has to do a certain amount of damage, which goes along with what The Tofu Man said a few posts above--Spiny Twizzler 06:40, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Vials are unaffected by +item% modifiers, and their base rate is 2/3. Probably only 66%, but that'd take a huge number of data points to distinguish. --RoyalTonberry 01:45, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Stat gains/monster level

I've noticed that I get a fairly consistent high stat gain from each fight here, over 15 each, more like 70 total. Somewhat akin to the Red Queen's Garden monsters. I'd be willing to wager that the monsters here scale as well. Anyone getting lower/higher stat gains? --Jimfromtx 07:30, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm getting typically between 40 and 50 stats at level ten, my only ML/stat boost is aloysius' antiphon. --Maramros 00:37, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
