Talk:The Limerick Dungeon
I think some of the stat gains listed on this page are just plain wrong. AFAIK, they don't scale with level. I've never seen the low end gains as listed for some of these adventures, whereas the higher gains look like simply the result of the requisite stat day. - I, too, am relatively certain that stat gains do not scale with level. --Aardvark 04:26, 20 Jun 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
- I am also sure that they do not. -Carados 23:24, 28 Jun 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

For an expected dungarees every 14.67 turns, there is a 75% chance you will pull one within 20 turns and a 90% chance you will pull one within 34 turns.

Either the stat gains were all changed without anyone really noticing or they change because of some factor like ascension, but the stats do not vary from adventure to adventure. They stay constant.--Dehstil (t|c) 18:52, 14 September 2006 (CDT)
Reverting at least part of the change by Semismurf, because a simple google query will return 308,000 results for "County Tipperary" versus 77,000 for the inverse. I'm not so sure about the reference to the bar, either. Teedz 22:06, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah, good call. I nuked the lot. --Jonrock 23:04, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
"Open by Default"?
I am level 4, staring at the Dungeon full of Dungeons, and the Limerick Dungeon is not there. (Base Myst 14, buffed Myst 27 - Pastamancer).
So, since it apparently does not open 'by default', when does it open?
--Lxndr 07:26, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- stat of 21 unbuffed. -- sulfur 16:35, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- So, yeah, this is totally not just you. Nor just "25 months ago". However, you can get in there via URL manipulation with a buffed stat of 21. A relic of how older zones work (or worked?) and no one bothering to look at that in the last several years, I suppose. --Flargen 07:14, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
"Requirement changed"?
At the entrance, you're stopped by a crone Who smiles and says "My, how you've grown!" "But you'll need to be tougher Lest ye surely shall suffer A most terrible fate in this zone."
(You must have at least 19 Moxie to adventure here.) Go back to The Dungeoneer's Association
So 21 changed to 19? Please confirm. Eliza Dane
First off, thanks to Rupatupa who helped me in /hardcore get my link right, since this dungeon isn't visible with only 3 base mainstat: javascript:void(mainpane.location='adventure.php?snarfblat=19') With 18 buffed Muscle in AoB (Base 3, +5 Trusty, +10 Legendary Bravado) I got the above limerick and the note that I need at least 19 muscle. Using a Balm for Go Get 'Em, Tiger! (as the +15% of a base 3 got rounded up to a point) raised me to 19, and I got 12 Myst from encountering a crotchety wizard. So access is definitely granted with 19 buffed mainstat. The zone becomes visible at 19 base (unbuffed) mainstat.--Terion 08:06, 23 March 2012 (CET)
Just as an update, I was collecting/confirming/correcting some stat recommendation messages, and tried the limerick dungeon with a mainstat of 14(5) -- using URL manipulation since it wasn't visible yet. The limerick is the same, though of course it is now just a recommendation and not a requirement. I then went ahead and successfully got a Limerick noncombat. This does mean that, if they know how to edit the URL, a 0-turn newbie character could adventure in this area for 10-14 of a random stat (or the few other items/meat results) per adventure without risk of a combat. Obviously not bleeding-edge optimal or anything, but it is an interesting thought experiment for new characters with no combat ability. --Terion (talk) 18:11, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
