Talk:The Mer-Kin Outpost
From A KoL Wiki
Not sure where to put this into article, but sometimes during combats with non-merkin healers those healers swim up and heal opponent:
or
![]() | A Mer-kin healer swims by and chants an incantation in a maddening, screeching, guttural, unearthly language. Putrid green light spills from his fingertips and envelops your opponent. |
or
![]() | A Mer-kin healer swims by and lays his hands on your opponent. Putrescent green light spills from the healer's hands, and your opponent looks stronger. |
I first thought it was due to Mer-kin prayerbeads that i had equiped, but it happen after i unequipped them too --Hrag 13:05, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps it just does not need to be equipped? I'm pretty sure I did not receive this effect until the prayerbeads dropped (and I've also never equipped them). Other possible triggers would be: rescuing grandma, using a healscroll. --Fig bucket 13:10, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- it was long before i rescues grandma, i never used the healscroll. it started once i equipped the prayerbeads (on the very first combat) and didn't stop ufter unequipping. The question is wether they ever happen before prayerbeads even dropping? --Hrag 13:28, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- Happened on my first combat in the zone. Nothing to do with prayerbeads. --Flargen 13:36, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
So, if it's 100% combats, do we have to boost noncombats to get the special, one-time adventures? I never was clear on how that worked...good thing I'm boosting noncombats anyways, lol. --Jimfromtx 05:51, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I just got Grandma's Note without any combat modifiers. So lowering combats is not necessary, but it may still help you get if more quickly. --Laytruce (talk) 12:44, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
