With Snow Tires from Sneaky Pete Path: "With your trusty snow tires, you drive right up the side of the mountain! Take that, quest!
Those mists are frigid -- you should get back into your warm clothes before you head up there!"
This bypasses the panicking Knott Yeti and sends you straight to Groar.
