Talk:The Red Zeppelin
Messages
After combat you get some flavor text. I was adding a few of them when they started to appear quest-related. I have a few scattered around on the pages, and I'll put the rest here. I got the no-ticket message a few times and then...
Against the man with red buttons:
After defeating your foe, you notice that one of the zeppelin's janitors has left his keyring on a hook on the wall. You grab it and unlock every door on the zeppelin before flushing the keys down the toilet. Take that, random janitor!
Then I started getting the "no-ticket" message for a few more combats.
Button guy:
Having unlocked all of the doors in the zeppelin, you finally manage to figure out where the nicer cabins are. Unfortunately, you only have time to check a couple before you hear a guard coming and flee.
Skeleton:
You finally make your way to the largest, most luxurious cabin in the zeppelin. You steel your nerves for the inevitable confrontation with Ron Copperhead.
Then I fought Ron. (As a note, these are all on one line, just added newlines to prevent pagestretching) — Cool12309 (talk) 23:45, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Once you beat Ron, you can gain bonus items for fighting on the zeppelin. I managed to get both tangerines and lemons.-Toffile (talk) 00:18, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure the basic idea is to avoid Red Herring, at the very least. I have yet to see a good message on that combat.--Hastifer (talk) 19:45, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
The page says that being thrown overboard for lack of a ticket negates progress in finding the cabin. I got thrown overboard, and then the next combat got the next step in cabin-finding, so it does not negate your entire progress and make you start over. It's possible that it negates the gain you would have gotten that turn, if you can even get a gain and a thrown overboard in the same round; I'm not removing the comment until I can test that in a future ascension. --Terion (talk) 03:33, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
- OK, being thrown overboard definitely does not reset your progress; it does not make you start over and have to get all the messages over again.I was thrown overboard several times but always the next time I got a progress message, it was the message for the next step that I expected to see. I did not ever see a progress message and a thrown overboard message in the same combat. I changed the text to say that being thrown overboard prevents progress for that combat; I fell pretty safe saying that. If anyone ever gets a progress message and the thrown overboard message at the same time, feel free to change the note. --Terion (talk) 15:45, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
- butler:"After the fight, you explore the cargo compartment of the zeppelin. It's filled with a bunch of really boring stuff, but you do get a slightly better sense of the ship's layout."
- skeleton:"You rifle through your fallen foe's possessions, looking for a clue as to the leader's whereabouts. You find a note reading Do not enter Ron's cabin for any reason whatsoever. From this, you glean that Ron is... in a cabin."
- butler:"On the wall next to your fallen opponent, you see a map of the zeppelin, with an area marked Best Cabins. You note the location, assuming that Ron's cabin is probably one of the best ones, if not the best one."
- buttons:"After defeating your foe, you notice that one of the zeppelin's janitors has left his keyring on a hook on the wall. You grab it and unlock every door on the zeppelin before flushing the keys down the toilet. Take that, random janitor!"

In addition, four no-ticket messages; one with the butler, one with a skeleton, two with button guy, none with either of the non-quest-progreßing monsters. _Blargh (talk) 14:15, 4 January 2015 (UTC)_
