Talk:Underworld acorn
This is puzzling...
I've tried just about everything that I could to do anything to this thing, but zip. Even the Sunken Chest you can do something with, even if that doesn't get you anywhere. It's not a Quest item; it's not a hatchling; it's just... seemingly useless.
The only thing I can think of is, with it being an Underworld acorn, that it might be some use in Hey Deze, but that's already got nuts.
Maybe it's just something to hang on to, and hope that Jick & co. have something up their sleeves. --Kay Dekker 20:03, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Mr. Skullhead mentioned on the forums that there's more content to come on Halloween day. It (and the trunk) are probably related to that. --MoreUmlaut 20:20, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Coolness! --Kay Dekker 02:53, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- As per the description stating "And it won't sit under the apple tree with anyone other than you", I would expect this to eventually sprout into a new type of familiar. --Aroth 01:30, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, that and the fact that's referred to as a "little guy". ManaUser 08:04, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Just to confirm: This is NOT zappable in to anything as of the time of this posting. It may change following the "activation" (if any) -- Kalon999 03:16, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
A thought occurs. An acorn is the seed of an oak tree. Perhaps this thing is usuable next Arrrbor Day. --Matt620 04:14, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Interesting idea. Maybe we can plant it and then repeat killing it for a second trunk (and maybe even another acorn). That would certainly explain the free-pull status. --Lordebon 14:17, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oof. An even more evil thought. The acorn gets planted on Arrrbor Day X, allowing you to encounter the tree on Arrrbor Day X+1, getting an acorn for Arrrbor Day X+2. That'd be the right amount of evil.--Foggy 14:25, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's what I meant. Arrrbor Day X would be a normal Arrrbor day. You'd plant the acorn (among whatever else), but then AD X+1 you'd either have the Shivering Timbers there instead of the Arrrboretum, or the Arrrboretum with the Underworld Tree, which would drop another acorn. AD X+2 it'd be the regular Arrrboretum and you could plant a new acorn. It'd be like the Arrrbor day outfit only for the 3 weapons and taking twice as long. --Lordebon 23:20, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Apparently it was said on the Radio Show that Arrrborween won't be returning, so something else must be going on... though I haven't listened myself; I'm just passing on what I've heard. --Kay Dekker 22:07, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Even if Arrrborween won't return, the Underworld Tree (perhaps just in the form of the Underworld trunk) might show up. Either that or something completely different. Time will tell. --Lordebon 18:33, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Free Pull
I think I figured out what the non-Hagnk's free pull was (re: my edit of Nov. 12). I was checking using my mall multi which has never ascended. Sorry about any confusion. --Mukiba 19:15, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. If you want to check things on your ascended character you can always log into them and then use the proper # link when looking at an item page in order to get the description as it appears to them. --Lordebon 21:35, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
