The description is def the same as the "what's grosser then gross?" jokes, but I don't know how to make it look good right now.--Plater (t|c) 07:55, 21 January 2008 (CST)

I got one unearthly onyx while pulverizing 7 round purple sunglasses. --Raorn 09:36, 30 June 2007 (CDT)

I also got one by smashing 12 of the Iiti Kitty Phone Charms. I'll do a few more batches of 12, if they also drop it, we can assume that you always get it from 12.--Zelandoni 19:52, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

  • I smashed 12 Iiti Kitty Phone Charms. 12 clusters of twinkly nuggets, 15 clusters of spooky nuggets, 7 twinkly wads, 8 spooky wads. Looks like a random chance to get one. Neil Senna 20:19, 1 July 2007 (CDT)
    • Didn't get one from the 7 sunglasses either. Hmm. Neil Senna 20:21, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

That data is false and incorrect, somebody should remove it. --Xsmootx 04:31, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

The data isn't exactly incorrect. From what I can tell, there is a *chance* that you will get a gem from smashing anything that will yield elemental wads, although I haven't been able to get any real percentages. My best guess is 1 gem for every 50-100 elemental wads. It seems very RNG reliant. --Guy Incogneeto 09:28, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

  • That's pretty much what I've seen. When you smash something that either gives X elemental damage or Y elemental resistance and that also drops wads, you have a small chance of getting a supergem that gives X elemental damage; where X is the same type of element and Y is the opposing element to X.--Zelandoni 18:55, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
  • That's pretty much true. I smashed one pair of Round Green Sunglasses, and got a twinkly wad, cold wad, and an Unearthly onyx. --Chillydragon 00:05, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
I smashed 4 purple sunglasses and got one. So maybe it's a random chance for each item smashed. --Bigcalm 14:50, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
  • I did some spading using Mummy masks, smashing one at a time I got one Onyx from one of 12. --Dannyboy 21:22, 15 July 2007 (CDT)
  • After smashing nearly 200 bat-ass jackets I can say that the chance of yielding an elemental gem in place of a wad is very close to 2% per wad.

Be sure to check out the pulverize page for a much better explanation of how you get the gems. It looks like most of the spading has been documented over there. --Dibbin 14:56, 9 November 2007 (CST)

Sorry about the revert-- didn't notice the plural. --TechSmurf 02:08, 21 January 2008 (CST)
