Talk:Universal key
Does the universal key let you open daily dungeon locked doors? It does not. --Noskilz (talk) 21:35, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
I assume this item is used on the perplexing door to easily collect the items needed to progress further in the Sorceress's lair. --Grogum (talk) 22:04, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
When I used it at the perplexing door, it morphed into a skeleton key, which I didn't have. I didn't copy the message, but it said something about morphing into a random key. My guess is that it becomes a random key that you do not currently have in inventory. --TheArchivist (talk) 11:09, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Got to the perplexing door with the following keys in inventory: Boris, digital, Richard, skeleton, universal. Used the universal key first, and it became Jarlsberg's. --Greycat (talk) 19:34, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- It changed into the Star Key for me when I had everything else unlocked. The only keys missing from my inventory were Star and Jarl's (I had previously used it and then zapped it into a Sneaky Pete's). It may have been a 50/50 of whatever wasn't in my inventory and I was just lucky; but I'm guessing it looks for keys not yet used and then picks randomly among them. Presumably, use it last to force the correct key? --Tainted Food Product (talk) 01:06, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Is the key consumed on use? Also, is "They key" sic? Or is it bad copy, and is actually "The key" in-game? --Lukarnis (talk) 01:37, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
