Ok, this is only somewhat related, but one of my van keys apparently belonged to a cannibal, as i got two good brains.

I used over 5k van keys and here are my findings

• The random items themselves are normally distributed
• When you have an active quest, it is a 50/50 chance of getting 1 or 2 random items
• The pool of random items is not the entire set of foods, but a limited subset that seems to change from day to day.

It should theoretically be predictable which food items come up. Jick mentioned something to that effect on their podcast a while back but changed the subject because he did not want people to know it. Should be spadable, though. --Extremelywikidude (talk) 14:20, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

I used a bunch more and I think it might simply be something to do with their price in the mall at rollover or something. It's too convenient that I can get crappy - EPIC food both in standard and out but the one factor is that I never get anything that costs more than, say 3-4k meat per unit. --Gausie (talk) 10:11, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
