Talk:Vanity Rage
Not totally sure what to check for variance here. With a 100-power hat, pants, 2h weapon, and 200-power shirt, X and Y (which are probably the same anyway) are both 30. Shirtless, 20. Shirtless and hatless, still 20. Shirtless, hatless, and pantsless, the effect disappears. Pants only, no weapon, 20. So, uh, have fun with that. (The equipment was the bounty-hunting rig and sea salt scrubs, for reference.) Salculd 18:31, 2 January 2012 (CET)
I'm wearing: CoT-Megadrone, Astral Shirt, Ice Sickle, Pilgrim shield, Distressed Denim Pants, plastic vampire fangs, juju mojo mask, stinky cheese eye, and aquaviolet jubjub. I have +50 on both weapon and spell damage.DarkAxz 07:08, 4 January 2012 (CET)
Here's what I found.
- Hat only - 10 to 75 power = +10. 80 to 150 power = +20. 155 to 200 power = +30.
- Pants only - same as hat only.
- Shirt only - 20 to 150 power = +10. 160 to 200 power = +20.
- Shield only - 1 to 9 DR = +10. 10 to 15 DR = +20.
- Combinations - Add power of hat and pants, half power of shirt, and shield DR times some constant that I don't have the brain power to compute right now. Divide by 75, floor it, multiply by 10. Ta daaaaah. --Johnny Treehugger 23:29, 4 January 2012 (CET)
- By floor I mean ceiling, and that crazy constant seems to be 8. Feel free to check my work. --Johnny Treehugger 04:16, 5 January 2012 (CET)
Oversimplification
With 160 total outfit power, divide by 15 and round up yields 11; 160 divide by 150, round up to 2, times 10 yields 20. Not the same thing. --Johnny Treehugger 22:15, 13 May 2012 (CEST)
- Sorry about that; the math seemed like it would fit better like that. Mea culpa; I'll be sure to check discussion in future cases. --Theogrin 22:42, 13 May 2012 (CEST)
Shield power
Main page sez :"The power of your shield is not displayed in-game," but that was 2012. It is now, right? As "Damage Reduction"? --Baltar (talk) 20:57, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
