It seems like I only encounter this guy Over Where the Old Tires Are during the adventure after talking to Yossarian and never otherwise. Is anyone else seeing this pattern? Probably not their intended reference, but the message about "let the beet drop" is also a common term in hiphop music. "Letting the beat drop" refers to the background music suddenly dropping out, and the rapper then proceeds to do it acapella for a few lines before the beat resumes.
