Talk:Wizard Action Figure

From A KoL Wiki

Possible Jimmy Neutron reference? "It's not a doll, it's an action figure!" As indirectly referenced in the haiku. Or a skit?

That's a pretty common joke, really. Also, remember to sign your comments. --Sair 21:17, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

I think that's a Jimmy Neutron reference. It would totally make sense. --1-Up 14:17, 6 August 2007 (CDT)

Damage seems to be a straight 1/2 weight without any bonuses for elemental alignment--Dannyboy 21:49, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

What are the bounds for healing and deleveling? --FrolSkobeev 23:28, 3 August 2007 (CDT)

I am pretty sure the Newt thing is a Monty Python reference "She turned me into a newt!"

I disagree. Witches and wizards turning people into newts is a common theme in all kinds of fantasy, Monty Python was referencing this common theme, they didn't create it. I see no evidence that this specifically referenced the Monty Python skit, particularly since in that context they were trying to burn a witch, not a wizard. • I concur. I thought about "cleesh" when I read the haiku. There doesn't seem to be any real link to Monty Python. --Andemon 13:03, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Wax lips/maypole/shanter/bouquet info, anyone with these + the familiar tested them? They can't break (obviously) but does it count as "proper equipment" and increasing the familiar's effect to 2/3rds? I think this might make it or break it for some people. -MarcyRoni 00:08, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

  • I'd say that only works with the mint-condition wand, otherwise you could do it with a cheap lead necklace, and that would be game-breaking. --Jimfromtx 15:24, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
    • True, that's what I assumed... but I was hoping for some IotM synergy to make some of those familiar equipment items more used (mayflower bouquet, I'm looking at you). -MarcyRoni 22:59, 4 August 2007 (CDT)
      • I like my bouquet, thank you very much. We weren't all around for wax lips or even plastic pumpkin buckets. --Flargen 00:45, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
      • I like my bouquet too. It's one of the best IotM ever released as far as I'm concerned. Why would I want Wax lips on my Penguin Goodfella when I can have Mayflower Bouquet instead?--Stufff 05:35, 9 August 2007 (CDT)

Data so far indicates the following:

  • Damage is Weight/2 (round down) to Weight/2 + 2 (round up).
  • It heals you at the start of combat whenever your current HP is less than 50% of your maximum. The amount it heals is Weight-2 to Weight+4. It does not heal when you're at exactly 50% of your maximum HP.
  • It will not heal and delevel in the same combat. Healing takes precedence.
  • If it doesn't heal you, it will delevel your opponent, provided the opponent is powerful enough. A +ML of 56 was enough to make it a 100% chance (or close to it) in the gallery and the black forest when my stats were roughly 125/200/120 (level 13). I don't know by how much it delevels.

The combat data is over a few score turns, but I've only gotten about 10 turns worth of healing data. --Flargen 01:00, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

I like to translate Festivioso Animatum as 'Dance Party': Festivioso->Festival->Party, Animatum->Being Animated->Dancing. ;-) --JRSiebz (|§|) 21:01, 4 August 2007 (CDT)

I got healed for 21 HP with the familiar at 16 pounds.--Ataradan 03:10, 5 August 2007 (CDT)

The healing range may well need some further spading. I'm doing my first oxycore run right now, so I'm not always paying attention to what my wizard is doing, but I think I got a weight+5 heal in there once. Lowest heal I've observed is weight-3. --Flargen 00:42, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
I think the healing range may be a function of the weight, not a specific number. I was getting fairly consistent heals at lower levels, like 8ish pounds with only 3-4 points range or so, but at 19 pounds I've seen (so far) a range between 14 and 22. I'll have to take more detailed healing notes next ascension starting from level 1 to check this. --KiraCatgirl 10:50, 4 September 2007 (CDT)

Fam Wt ML/Mox Dif Delevel Frequency
13 +63 3-5 6/6
23 +63 7-9 6/6
28 +63 8-11 12/12

Going to need some more wands to continue. --TechSmurf (talk) 05:23, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
