Talk:X Stone Golem
A 6 Stone Golem (basement level 151) was too powerful for me to hit (with moxious maneuver) or dodge, with 2028 moxie. With 2793, I blew it away. I know that's a huge range, but it's a start. --Greycat 19:41, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
... And 2657 was more than enough for the 7 Stone Golem on level 158. --Greycat 20:00, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
Physically Resistant?
If I'm reading Calculating Spell Damage#Formulas correctly, I think this feller has damage absorption. My Weapon of the Pastalord physical spell did about half the damage of my hot Saucegeyser. --Bagatelle 20:20, 6 September 2007 (CDT)
He does. He seems to be a copy of Fernswarthy, except it's all physical instead of elemental. The monster's HP is also significantly lower than the Beast or Hydra of the same level. --Babyscarface 20:25, 6 September 2007 (CDT)
- Verified as 50% Physical Resistance, with the help of a little box of fireworks. —Yendor 07:46, 5 July 2008 (CDT)
Meat Drop?
Is this fight supposed to have a Meat drop? I got some after defeating a Stone Golem on Level 87 with my 40-pound Jitterbug. Here's a copy of the fight text and my equipment at the time:
You're fighting a 3 Stone Golem.
You hit it for 26 (+10) damage. CRITICAL HIT! BIFF! WHAM! SMACK! BIFF! BIFF! WHAMMO! SOCKO! BAM!
As you deliver the final blow, the moonlight glints off of your smiling mask.
You win the fight!
Brundlefly holds the Mayflower bouquet out in front of you, and you stop to smell the flowers. It gives you time to reflect on the experience of this fight, and makes it more meaningful to you.
Brundlefly busts some old-school dance moves, partying like it's either 1925 or 1998. She finishes a turn and winks suggestively at you.
You gain 155 Meat.
Brundlefly looks into the Mayflower bouquet, frowns, pulls out an undesirable flower and discards it. It lands in your pocket.
You acquire an item: lesser grodulated violet
You gain 92 Strongness.
You gain 66 Magicalness.
You gain 128 Chutzpah.
Go back to Fernswarthy's Basement
Equipment:
extra-large palm-frond toupee
duct tape shirt
flaming juggler's balls
pilgrim shield
stainless steel slacks
V for Vivala mask
filigreed hamethyst earring
stainless steel suspenders
Mayflower bouquet

- Uh, odd. I adventured here totally naked, with no familiar, and the Stoney was dropping Meat for me too. (The horror didn't seem to, and there was at least one other monster that dropped Meat.) Odd that no-one has noticed/this has changed. I always thought that the basement was supposed to drop neither Meat nor items. --Bagatelle 14:25, 1 January 2008 (CST)
