Talk:Zombo's skull ring
From A KoL Wiki
The little "easter egg" is a bit suspect, as causing enough damage for instant deaths doesn't seem like TPTB's style. Verify please? --MrAndersonMan 05:43, 14 July 2008 (CDT)
- Keep in mind that this item cannot possibly be equipped until level 15 at the very earliest for a Sauceror/Pastamancer (likely much later for others unless you're playing like a severely broken myst class for some bizarre reason), by which point most characters will have already finished the level 12 quest. Still, verification is a good thing. --Quietust (t|c) 08:02, 14 July 2008 (CDT)
- Checked in bombed back frat house. Ten for ten in the 310-350 range on the second round (Spiced the first round.). If you've got 200 Mys, odds are pretty good you'll be one-shotting Frat boys anyhow, so this little easter egg isn't exactly a game-ruiner. I wonder if it does anything against The Man though... --InvalidUser 01:54, 15 July 2008 (CDT)
There's also the very slightly awkward grammar, and the fact that the full damage range was included in the first edit... --MrAndersonMan 08:12, 14 July 2008 (CDT)
- The easter egg is definitely there, although I've discovered a few things about it from the bombed frat house. First off, the damage only happens on a round when the frat boy attacks, so if you gain initiative or block (Potato, Mayflower Bouquet, etc.) then neither of you gets hit. Secondly, the damage also happens the 2nd time the frat boy attacks as well, if you have ML boosted enough for the frat boy to survive the first round. I'm assuming this happens every round, I'll try to see if I can get the ML high enough for a 3rd round. And finally, my damage floor was 300 and my damage ceiling was 349.--Ahamster 07:04, 25 July 2008 (CDT)
- Did some testing. It works on the normal Orc Frat House and it happens 100% of the time. It comes after your attacks and your familiar attacks, so it only actually shows up if you don't kill it first. --Suikoman444 07:25, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
I'm guessing that physical resistance is applied, as a War Frat Kegrider just hit himself for 233 damage. (And yes, that slightly awkward-looking period is there.) --Nahtmmm 17:47, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- P.S.: The War Frat Senior Grill Sergeant can use his special "On Fire" attack even with the ring equipped. I just had one paddle himself and then light me on fire. Something to potentially be wary of. --Nahtmmm 19:11, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
