Talk:Zombo's skullcap

From A KoL Wiki

Does this count as a turtle for headbutt purposes? I know, it's not really, but neither is a pith helmet or skullcap... --Jimfromtx 18:05, 22 June 2008 (CDT)

First time

So . . . is this really the first time in a video game that a skull has been used as a skullcap? Impossible to prove it is, but maybe someone knows that it isn't. Eran of Arcadia 21:23, 15 August 2008 (CDT)

  • Let's just say there's a joke in all of this, and one of the two of us is missing it completely. --Flargen 21:28, 15 August 2008 (CDT)
    • I get that it's a joke, as far as the item description is concerned, I am just curious as to whether there is anything else behind the joke. Eran of Arcadia 21:55, 15 August 2008 (CDT)

I'll just add that I came to this page specifically to check if this was a facetious description (because of well-known counter examples in games I've not played) or a basically accurate boast. No conclusion either way from the above exchange. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 19:25, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

ok, Diablo II had at LEAST one skullcap made out of a skull. some examples: http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Wormskull http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Vampire_Gaze and possibly: http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Giant_Skull http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Bone_Helm

I could go on but that game really went overboard. Also: Soul calibur features multiple people fighting with (mostly) animal skulls over their head (most notably lizardman and berserker). Call those skullcaps if you will. there's probably a TON of other examples. and just to be pedantic: http://kol.coldfront.net/thekolwiki/index.php/Scalp_of_Gorgolok it's not really a skull, but in my mind it's always been a skullcap.
