Booze has always played an important role in the Kingdom of Loathing, being one of the ways for a player to gain more adventures than the 40 given at rollover. Special drinks, including those mixable only by a Disco Bandit (or someone with the Advanced Cocktailcrafting skill) can also give you significant substat gains, depending on the ingredients used. Drinking certain drinks can also unlock certain tattoos.
- One drawback to drinking is becoming drunk. Adventuring under the influence is possible, but not advisable due to the the strange things people do while in a drunken stupor.
- St. Sneaky Pete's Day, which incorporates many elements of Mardi Gras, is a day dedicated to alcohol, especially the verdure kind.
