- Thus removing "the" from "in the". "The" is often used as the first part of an area name (ex. The Nearby Plains), and with "the" being included in the template it creates a redirect linkage as people remove "the" from the syntax line to avoid a repeat. I believe that having (or not having) "the" as part of the syntax vice the template will still have a correct interpretation by the reader of the text.--Magered 15:35, 4 July 2011 (CEST)
- I don't see what the real problem with "redirect linkage" is though. It still goes there, and it's not like we're going to remove those redirects. -- sulfur 15:41, 4 July 2011 (CEST)
- Cleanliness mostly. Help prevent multi-redirects (although not in this case) and keep things streamlined. Do not desire or expect to remove redirects, just looking at keeping things neat were possible.--Magered 15:58, 4 July 2011 (CEST)
- I'm not sure how possible that is. For one, the game has a tendency to use 2 or 3 different names for the same location, and which one becomes the "main" page on the wiki tends to be arbitrary. And two, I believe not all of these names fit nicely into any given rigid grammatical structure. I don't really feel like having the template coded up to include a large number of switch statements to pick a single desirable format and link for every plausible location. Maybe someone could check to see if our updated mediawiki means we now have substring matching. That would likely make it a fair bit easier. --Flargen 17:15, 4 July 2011 (CEST)

In-game, underwater area unlocks all seem to use the (1) adv image, but this template uses the (2) adv image. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 19:50, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
- The image used is directly specified each time, so easy to fix...but I assumed that the (1) was context-specific, because the fishy effect was active, at least in my case. Is it always the (1) image even if undersea adventures are currently costing you (2)? --Fig bucket (talk) 22:06, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
- Correct. The (1) adv image is used in-game. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 23:05, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
