The Free Man You're fighting The Free Man

A hail of bullets sends you diving to the ground, looking frantically around you for their source. That source turns out to be a man sporting a closely-cropped goatee and horn-rimmed glasses. If it weren't for the high-tech armored hazard suit he's wearing, you'd swear he was some kind of science egghead. Well, the suit and the submachine gun and... is that a rocket launcher strapped to his back? "For crying out loud," you shout, "will you please knock it off?"

After a moment, the shooting does stop, although it appears to be due less to compassion and more to a lack of ammunition. "Look," you say as he puts the gun away, "I don't know what your deal is, but I'm sure we can talk it out."

The man stares impassively at you for a moment, then pulls out a large crowbar.

"Guess not," you sigh.

Hit Message(s):

He picks up a circular saw blade with his tractor-beam gun and hurls it at you. Er, that is, through you. Eek! Eek! Ooh! Ow! Ugh!

He uses the prying end of the crowbar to pop your kneecaps off. Eek! Ugh! Ooh! Ugh! Ugh!

He bashes you in the <thigh> with his crowbar. Oof! Ugh! Ouch! Eek! Argh!

He whistles a dog whistle. A giant robot bounds forward and stomps you into paste. Oof! Ouch! Ow! Ouch! Ugh! (hot damage)

Critical Hit Message:

He pulls out a science-y looking gun and fires it at you. When he waves the gun up and down, an unseen force lifts you up and smashes you into the ground. Over and over and over. (CRITICAL HIT!) Ow! Eek! Ouch! Ouch! Eek!

Miss Message(s):

He fires his gravity gun at you, but picked the wrong gun and just opens a blue-ringed portal behind you.

He pulls a few nails out of a nearby wall with his crowbar.

A giant robot bounds up, but just wants to shake hands with you.

He pulls out a cell phone, answers it, and stands there silently for a few minutes, nodding.

Fumble Message:

A crab lands on his head, and he has to frantically bash himself with the crowbar to get rid of it. (FUMBLE!)
