The House of Harold the Halfling

This is where the Harold the Halfling lives.

- On first visit:
You enter the house and are greeted by half a man.
"Hello... snif Adventurer," he says, with tears in his eye. "Can you... snif help me? My hammer is broken, and it really snif means a lot to me, and I can't fix it myself..."
"Okay, I'll try to fix it." |
"You will? Oh, that's wonderful. Thank you, thank you so much. Here are the parts of it."

"It should be pretty simple to fix it with some Meat Paste -- I'd do it myself, but I've only got the one arm, you know."
- On returning, before fixing the hammer:
"Please hurry, Adventurer! I just can't wait for my hammer to be in one piece again..."
- After fixing the hammer:
Harold beams. Or at least half-beams, it's kind of hard to tell. He takes the hammer.
"Thank you! Here, have this, for your trouble. <Player name>, was it? Thank you, <Player name>."
Harold winks (or... blinks?) as he hands you a pile of Meat.

- After fixing the hammer (second visit)
"<Player name>! Just the Adventurer I wanted to see.
"This neighborhood is really going downhill lately, and I've been thinking about acquiring some... protection. I'd like to make myself a Meat sword, but my hammer isn't heavy enough to actually smith Meat.
"Do you think you could get your hands on a tenderizing hammer and help me out?"
"Sure, why not?" |
"Great! Head over to the Meatsmith, in Market Square, and buy a hammer and a sword hilt. I'd go myself, but I've only got the one leg, you know."
- On returning, before buying the hilt:
[sic]
- On returning, after buying the hilt:
"The next thing you'll need is a Meat stack. Then use the hammer to forge the stack and the hilt into a Meat sword."
- On returning, before making the meat stack:
"How's that Meat stack coming?"
- On returning, before making the sword:
"Have you finished making my Meat sword yet, <Player name>?"
- On returning, after making the sword:
Harold grins broadly. Half-broadly.
"That's a fine-looking Meat sword, <Player name>! Fine indeed."
- On returning, last time:
"Thanks again for all of your help, <Player name>."
