The Loneliest Number
Kudzu slumps to the ground, his vines twitching and already starting to wither. You pick him up by the collar and give him a shake. "Tell me your part of the Jokester's code," you growl.
"Never," he mutters sullenly. "The Jokester would kill me, and I know you won't go that far."
"I won't kill you," you growl, "but if you don't give me that number, you'll wish I had." You start tearing the vines away from his body, leaving bright red welts where they were clinging to his skin.
"No!" he shouts desperately. "My children! Their voices!"

"All right! All right!" he screeches. "It's one! Just the number one, that's all he told me!"
"You'll be bathing in weed killer if this doesn't check out," you growl. "See how your children like you then."
"It's true! I swear it!"
You tie him up with a length of rubber garden hose, and leave him for the police to pick up later. On your way out the door, you notice a burlap sack with a dollar sign on it, which you confiscate.
