You're fighting the gunkA nearby drain gurgles, burbles, and does a few other onomatopoetic things before erupting in a geyser of fluffy white gunk. It waves back and forth in the air, extruding tendrils of itself to sample the environment around it. Though it doesn't have eyes, you could swear it's watching you.
And you can't deny that, as disgusting as this whole situation is, the gunk smells delicious.
