This Looks Like a Good Bush for an Ambush
You notice a hedgerow just inside the perimeter of the protest. Seems like it'd be a good place to hide, and then jump out at the last minute and scare a bunch of the protesters off.

You hunker down in the bushes, but you don't really blend in well enough to do any serious hiding.
You manage to make some scary noises and scare Y+3 of the protesters away, but you can't shake the feeling that you could've hidden more effectively if you were more like... I dunno. Some kind of sneaky wildlife that's good at hiding in these bushes.

Resplendent in your lynyrd disguise, you hide in the bushes as though you were made for it. You hide so well that you actually fall asleep for a while, and when you wake up you find the bush surrounded by a group of Y+3 protesters.
"OOGAH BOOGAH" you scream, as you leap out of the bush, waving your arms frantically.
"Oh no! Somebody just yelled 'OOGAH BOOGAH' at us! Flee!" the protesters reply.
Then they do. Flee, I mean. All Y+3 of them.

You are not at all alarmed by the bustle in the hedgerow, so you see no reason to change the road you're on.

- Using lynyrd musk gives you 3 lynyrd.
- Each piece of lynyrdskin clothing (lynyrdskin cap, lynyrdskin tunic, lynyrdskin breeches) gives you 5 lynyrd.
- The most lynyrd you can have is 18, making the maximum number of protesters you can scare away 21.
- Ignoring the bustle skips the adventure.
