Introduction

Hi there everyone. This page is mostly for me, but for simplicity's sake I figured I should probably have a User Page here in case anyone needs to know anything in particular about me.

My name is Chasing (#645195), and I was a speed ascender with The Hogs of Destiny pre-NS13. Post-NS13, I'm just a regular old slow ascender again (though still with The Hogs of Destiny).

I've been around KoL since 2005, and managed to join on the infamous International Talk Like A Pirate Day (Sept 19th) way back then. I've only ever "been in" three clans, the one preceeding The Hogs of Destiny being The Library Police, an older clan based out of /c games. I can't even remember the first it's been so long.

I proudly hold whitelists to upwards of twenty clans, and by far my favorite to visit is Hardcore Nation, which I've been known to camp out in for several weeks at a time.

Ascension

I joined The Hogs of Destiny several months after the rollout of ascension, when they had an average of 25 ascensions-per-person. I had seven.

That gap's only widened - they currently average 97.89, and I'm working on #76. At least the ratio's improved. ^_^

In any case, I consider myself very much a softcorer - I've done 58 Softcore vs 17 Hardcore ascensions, although I'm in the early 60's for perm'd skills, since many of my HC-perms had previously been SC-perm'd.

My fastest SCNP run pre-NS13 was 2 days, 394 turns. The Ascension DataBase has this ranked as #464 of 40078 SCNP ascensions, and in the 98th %ile of SCNP ascensions.

Post NS-13 my fastest SCNP ascension was ranked at the 90th %ile, while my fastest HCNP was ranked at the 79th %ile.

I really don't think I'm gonna pull that kind of stuff off again. XD
