This area is very, very dependant on good drops on the first two phase 1 adventures. To get over $6k you need a perfect run. You need 2 keys for high score runs and that is not guaranteed.
Spring boots and rope = stuns when it works. It is more effective with a jetpack.
A perfect run starts with the first shop having the jetpack or the yellow jacket and spring boots so you can get the temple idol without damage on the second non-combat.
Skip the sticky bombs, unlock the city of gold and then the altar as soon as possible, and then sacrifice tons of skeletons to get your stats so high that you can survive tougher areas without using combat items.
- Beating The Ghost, LOLMec, and shopkeepers assume you have a jetpack and spring boots equipped.
- The Ghost: Be over 50HP, have a skeleton buddy while having the Joke Book of the Dead and boomerang equipped. Just using the boomerang is normally sufficient but you may need a rope if you do it too early. Also it seems, if you do it with zero turns remaining the Ghost misses you more often.
- Beating shopkeepers: Be over 50HP, have a skeleton buddy, and 3 or 4 ropes while having the torch and boomerang equipped. Use ropes until one works then throw the boomerang until they break free. Repeat. A bomb or two also helpful as a last resort.
- Beating LOLMec: Be over 50HP, have a skeleton buddy, and 10+ ropes while having the torch and shotgun equipped. Keep using ropes until a stun works and then shoot until the stun wears off. The lair is opened on the 4th or 5th combat in the temple.
- Beating Bananubis: If you have lots of rope (10+), then when stunned a bomb and a stone will work. So will the throw torch skill.
Once you kill a shopkeeper you have to kill all of the remaining ones to get the shop items. You can't see what they have but bombs and ropes are dropped in larger numbers.

Ghost: You can beat the ghost for an extra 10 turns, but you need the joke book of the dead equipped. He's not too tough, make sure you have the boomerang equipped (for deleveling) and you are wearing the jetpack and springy boots. You'll need a skeleton buddy for extra damage.
Shopkeepers: When safe the same strategy for the ghost can be used to kill shopkeepers. You'll may want the Joke Book of the Dead the damage reduction and increased damage. You'll need a few ropes or bombs to be effective.
Yomamma: Make sure to have the torch equipped before entering the fight. You'll also want to equip your jetpack and springy boots. 1st round, throw a bomb. 2nd round, throw a torch. After that use a rope each time. Remember, if you dodge with your jetpack and boots, your rope stun will not be broken, so you only need to use the rope on rounds when you're told the rope breaks. After 5 - 6 rounds, Yomama will explode.
