From A KoL Wiki

I am considering publishing this strategy for getting basic booze items.

I will call it the booze loop.

In its simplest form:

1. Get worthless trinkets on clover day (I prefer to use the 31337 scrolls

2. Get many Ten-leaf clovers (do not disassemble)

3. Dress in the Frat Boy Ensemble (this is important!)

4. Adventure at the Orcish Frat House in Disguise once for each clover. This should yield one roll of drink tickets per adventure

5. Stay in the Ensemble!

6. Use the rolls of drink tickets.

7. Profit!!!

It is important to stay dressed up because the roll doesn't get as many booze items if you're not disguised as a Frat Boy.

I have done this twice with 4 clovers.

The first time I got 23 basic booze items (bottles of liquor and boxes of wine) and a few beers.

I don't want to make things up, but hoping that using deodorant would help my yield with the tickets, I tried again with 4 more clovers.

The second time I got 27 basic booze items and some beers.

This is obviously not evidence that deodorant (fresh scent effect) helps here, but might be interesting enough to warrant testing.

At a cost of about 1 adventure per 6.25 booze items (excluding beers), this is loads better than farming.

However, associated costs for trinkets may make this less desirable. I do a lot of adventuring at the Valley to get to level 10, so I have an abundance of 31337 scripts. I would hazard a guess that farming for these scripts is more profitable than farming for the booze itself, but that is a guess.

This strategy assumes that the hermit has been hacked.

If anyone thinks this is novel enough to move to a real page, let me know. If I'm completely wrong, please let me know.

Regardless, let me know so that I can either share this or forget about it.

It isn't a "loop" per se, since it consumes the clovers you gained. I use a similar strategy at the Hippy Camp while in disguise to collect fruit baskets (which generate significant quantities of TPS fruits), though I just buy the clovers in the mall.
The spice loop is a true loop because it is guaranteed to generate exactly 1 spices per adventure and does not consume the clovers used (since you trade the trinkets for more), meaning a single clover could be used to obtain any quantity of spices (limited by adventures, of course). --Quietust 15:17, 2 April 2006 (CDT)

Ok, so at least the strategy is out there. I realize that it is not a loop that produces an unlimited amount of clovers, or anything else. It does require some input whereas the clover loop only needs a starting condition and can run as long as the adventures last.
The fruit basket trick looks like it is about as profitable (TPS fruits) as the booze trick at the fraternity. Are either of these clever enough to warrant a page in this wiki?
I don't have a TPS so I don't use the fruit basket, but the booze trick will be very helpful for me now.
Perhaps it is pretty much obvious from the articles on drink tickets and fruit baskets. --PirateShark 17:21, 2 April 2006 (CDT)
