Hello, and welcome to my page! I started playing on June 20, 2006, after a friend of mine, The Retired Hermit, reffered me to the game. I was reluctant at first, but I soon joined.
After I joined, I couldn't figure out what to do. So The Retired Hermit gave me a link to this wiki, and I've been here since, reading up on everything I can (skipping spoilers though).
I believe that the adventure system is pure genious. Some people might possibly view it as limiting, but I prefer it. After adventuring daily for 40 turns, or on days when I drink a bit, around 70, I quit playing. Normally, when I'm playing RPGs, I get addicted to them, and sit around for hours a day, draining my life away. After a while, I just quit playing RPGs all together. With this nifty turn based system, I have time to eat, sleep, go for walks, talk to friends, and do other things.
