Once you fix this up, are you planning to copy it out of the User domain and link it from the Manuel page? There are plenty of other helpful guides on the forum, so it would not be inappropriate.   • i did and i don't, but i wouldn't say that was a green light. not because i don't think it should go in, just that everything needs more than just my say-so. the same goes for the suggestions below, they're just my 2¢.
  • i understand it needs a little fleshing out; perhaps this should be done before it gets moved. when it gets signed off you should probably get an admin to do it so it doesn't leave redirects.
  • the format of the page needs cleaning up to look more kolwikiish (see How to Chibi):
    • lose the PRE block (take out leading spaces.)
    • i'd prefer it got a name like "How to Manuel"; you can put a link to the forum thread in the "See Also" section at the end.
    • categorise it as "Miscellaneous" along with the other how-tos.
    • structure it with headings properly.
    • you don't need the executive summary of the sections, a __TOC__ should be enough.
    • make the tone a little more neutral and less personal, although you can keep it light and conversational since it's a guide.

Move Page

I think that this page is ready for prime time. If an admin agrees, I think it should be moved to How to Manuel as Evilkolbot suggested above. Once that is done, I'd add a link from the Manuel page.   • There's this little tab that says move on the top of a page. There you can give the new name for the page and the reason for your move. Note that this will leave a redirect. If this redirect is unneeded/unwanted, you can leave a request for deletion here.
