From A KoL Wiki

You have Summon Party Favor listed twice, and I don't see Summon Tasteful Gifts on there at all. If Hilarious Objects deserves consideration, so should Tasteful Gifts (and since they're more useful in ascensions, should probably be rated higher). --Lxndr 19:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Tier 3: Leash of linguini (Leash + Sympathy + pet snacks = 0 turns levelling up familiars for the NS)
This is incorrect. Those three add 15 pounds to a fresh familiar, which is not enough for the Tower. Even if you obtain a lead necklace that's only 18 pounds. You need to use Empathy also. --Chartan 18:48, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

  • Actually, you're the one who is mistaken - irradiated pet snacks give 10 pounds of familiar weight, not 5. --Quietust (t|c) 19:30, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
    • Well yes I am. I hadn't heard of irradiated pet snacks. I should have known better than to assume the was a reference to Knob Goblin pet-buffing spray. (I use sympathy/empathy/leash/snowcone.) Thanks for the correction. This exchange can be removed whenever is appropriate. --Chartan 20:13, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

1 DB Superhuman Cocktailcrafting - I agree with triple-K, cocktails are very important

  1. 2 DB Advanced Cocktailcrafting
  2. 3 PM Pastamastery - Food next
  3. 4 SA Advanced Saucecrafting
  4. 5 DB Mad Looting Skillz

Now that the totally essential skills are out of the way, you need buffs, but it's more efficient to perm the high level ones first.

  1. 6 AT Ode to Booze
  2. 7 AT Sonata of Sneakiness - Yes, this one is higher level than Ode, but it doesn't really matter
  3. 8 AT Fat Leon's Phat Loot Lyric
  4. 9 AT Magical Mojomuscular Melody
  5. 10 AT Moxious Madrigal

Now that you have some buffs, let's do a bit of muscle

  1. 11 TT Hero of the Half-Shell - Will make subsequent muscle runs much faster, you won't regret it.
  2. 12 TT Amphibian Sympathy - Free weight, yay.
  3. 13 SC Pulverize - Useful for adventures, stats AND stat buffs. Not super essential, but might as well string muscle runs while you're at it. Can be easily moved down to #18 or #19
  1. 14 DB Smooth Movement - This one could probably go higher in the list
  2. 15 GN Powers of Observatiogn - Don't overlook that one
  3. 16 DB Disco Power Nap - More a convenience than anything else, but healing at Doc's drove me totally nuts after a while
  4. 17 AT Ur-Kel's - Now we're getting serious

The next important skills are from myst classes, but you should really get Tao and Shieldbutt before going back there.

  1. 18 TT Shieldbutt
  2. 19 TT Tao of the Terrapin
  3. 20 PM Leash of Linguini

Tier I: Skills you shouldn't be without (these are listed in a possible perming order)

  1. 1 DB - Superhuman Cocktailcrafting (perming SHC first lets you make Superhuman cocktails in your next run)
  2. 2 DB - Advanced Cocktailcrafting
  3. 3 S - Advanced Saucecrafting
  4. 4 PM - Pastamastery
  5. 5 TT - Amphibian Sympathy

Tier II: Buffs you want to run as much as possible

  1. 6 DB - Mad Looting Skillz
  2. 7 AT - Fat Leon's Phat Loot Lyric
  3. 8 AT - Moxious Madrigal (when you have a lot more passives you won't need this, but it will really help you early on)
  4. 9 PM - Leash of Linguini
  5. 10 AT - Ode to Booze

Tier III: Learn about delay() before you use combat modifiers

  1. 11 DB - Smooth Movements
  2. 12 AT - Sonata of Sneakiness (you feel like a real pro when you're running +noncombats!)
  3. 13 TT - Hero of the Half-Shell (helps to wean yourself off Medicinal Herbs, also useful for Myst classes)
  4. 14 SC - Tongue of the Walrus
  5. 15 SC - Pulverize (if you have a Green Pixie and/or a Llama Lama, this is less important)

Tier IV: More ways to avoid damage

  1. 16 SC - Musk of the Moose
  2. 17 SC - Eye of the Stoat (significantly reduce fumbling for Moxie classes)
  3. 18 TT - Tao of the Terrapin
  4. 19 TT - Empathy of the Newt
  5. 20 PM - Springy Fusilli (avoid damage as Muscle and Myst classes, an item drop boost for Moxie classes)
  6. 21 S - Depressed Gag Reflex/TT - Astral Shell (If you have an Exotic Parrot then Depressed Gag Reflex will passively let you pass the only remaining elemental resistance test i.e. let you adventure in Guano Junction immediately. Otherwise you'll need Astral Shell to be able to pass every resistance test required in a run)

Tier V: Big ticket buffs and other animals

  1. 22 AT - The Magical Mojomuscular Melody (if you have Olfaction then you might want to get this sooner, as it allows you to start using Olfaction earlier)
  2. 23 AT - Ur-Kel's Aria of Annoyance
  3. 24 AT - Aloysius's Antiphon of Aptitude (this is most useful early in a run, you'll need Mojo to be able to cast it when it counts)
  4. 25 AT - Carlweather's Cantata of Confrontation
  5. 26 SC - Rage of the Reindeer

Tier VI: Barrel scrapings (by this point you should be able to make up your own damn mind )

  1. 27 PM - Cannelloni Cocoon
  2. 28 PM - Entangling Noodles
  3. 29 AT - Polka of Plenty (there are reasonably few places to cast this, but it will help keep your other buffs running)
  4. 30 Gnomes - Powers of Observatiogn
  5. 31 AT - Power Ballad of the Arrowsmith
