From A KoL Wiki

Move your skills, tattoos, and familiar lists off-site please. --CG1:t,c,e 04:25, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

My pages do not take up an exceptional amount of space (~30kb total), and the entire profile uses in-site links, which would make it impossible for it to function off-site. I spent a lot of time on it; I'd really appreciate it if it didn't get trashed just because you don't want other users to create much larger profiles. I didn't break any rules that existed when I made it. --Noogles 01:15, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

  • Space isn't an issue. Overpassing the scope of the wiki is the problem. That and the snowball effect. We let one person do it, and then everyone does it, and then we become inundated in a wave of trite stuff (which wasn't the direct creation of TPTB). And wiki links can be converted to http links rather easily. I'd wager BCC has even created a script specifically for that, but I'm not going to check. There was a big huge argument over the matter some time ago, and the basic conclusion was that this is not the sort of thing the admins think should be on the wiki, and not the sort of thing that the people who want it think is worth it to keep going on about here rather than just moving offsite where they can be...unmolested, they might say. --Flargen 01:54, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
    • Because it's obvious you (Noogles) didn't click the link in the UserCruft template, I'll just tell you myself - the link points to a forum post, where BCC provides a profile snapshot script, which makes you a profile on his server. --CG1:t,c,e 04:44, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

UserCruft

Bumcheekcity conveniently provides a script which places all the information present on your user page offsite on his website. It's been over a month since your page has been marked as usercruft; please move it offsite before it's nuked. --CG1:t,c,e 02:28, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks :P --CG1:t,c,e 04:00, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
