Raffle Winners
Do we really need to keep adding the new winners every day? Is it really that important to record it on the wiki given how long it's been running and given how long it will likely continue to run? Pretty soon (especially with the bock and cheese), the list of winners will be longer than the rest of the content on the page. I personally think we should just drop the winners sections entirely. --Quietust 09:24, 8 August 2006 (CDT)
Hard to say - I'm mostly of the opinions that...
1) If they're going to be recorded at all, they should all be recorded faithfully, and -
2) It's probably better to have a complete (as possible) list of all winners and later not need them than it is to have a grossly incomplete list and later need them.
3) It's so easy to keep up with this that it's sheer sloth for a day to slip by unrecorded.
People have found interest in the Kingdom in the oddest spots, and for some unforeseeable reason, the raffle lot wins could be one. Ever wondered how many Mafia wines went out, of each type, or who won them? (By the way, the previous raffle predated the existence of the Wiki by ..what.. more than a year? That's information that's totally lost - this is information that can still be gathered.) The raffles have (in my appraisal) a high enough probability for interest to keep up with the record. How many items went out? Who won the most raffles?
I doubt these raffles are going to go much longer, too - it's amazing they've gone as long as they have. --Nigh Throbbing 10:11, 8 August 2006 (CDT)
