Whoah, It's So Meta!
You stagger up to a machine in the Typical Tavern that you've never seen before. It has a bunch of blinking lights, a rectangle made out of glass, and the title "Golden Pint" on it.
"Hey, whass thiss thingy?" you ask someone nearby.
"It's called a 'video game,'" he replies. "You put 25 meat in, and it simulates being in a bar and ordering a pint of beer. You push this button for your onscreen character to drink the beer, and the faster you drink it, the higher your score. It's a great game."
Pretending to drink in a video game sounds pretty dumb to you, but you deposit your meat and play the game anyway.
Yup, that was just as dumb as it sounded. But at least you got a high score, and got to put in your initials. Which, of course, are ASS.
