A GOTO is a programming language instruction designed to shunt the program to a different part of the code. You don't know where this particular one directs to, or what will happen if you use it on a physical creature, or how any of this is even the slightest bit possible, but it might be fun to find out.
Type: combat item

![]() | ||
You invoke the GOTO, and the air around you fills with blinding green code. You hurl some of it at your opponent, who vanishes with an electronic squelch. Hopefully the subroutine you sent them to is somewhere far away.
|
If you already have Everything Looks Green:
![]() |
Your eyes are still all blown-out from the last bright green thing you saw. Maybe you should wait. |
Notes
- Allows you to freely run away without using an adventure.
- Used by Subject 37 to escape from Cobb's Knob Menagerie.
History
- On January 2nd, 2024, this item was changed to always succeed (it previously had a 30% success rate, staggering the opponent otherwise) and give Everything Looks Green.
- The previous use messages for success & failure were as follows:
![]() |
You hurl the GOTO at your opponent, who vanishes with an electronic squelch. Hopefully the subroutine you sent them to is somewhere far away. |
![]() |
You hurl the GOTO at your opponent, who vanishes with an electronic squelch. You then feel a tap on your shoulder, and turn around to see it standing behind you, looking confused and annoyed. |
