You're entitled to the "Look, Ma! No Pants!" Trophy, for having celebrated New Year's pantsless. |
Notes
- This trophy is called "Pantsless!" in the Trophy Case and "Look, Ma! No Pants!" at the Trophy Hut.
- The system message "Happy New Year! Now take off your pants!" was displayed in chat in 2005.
- Many players who received the trophy were not online and had not seen the message; they received it simply because they were lucky enough to not be wearing pants at the time.
- According to the the January 2nd, 2006, Jick and Mr. Skullhead Radio Show, this trophy was a spur-of-the-moment idea and would never be seen again. Even so, Mr Skullhead continues to pull people's chains in system messages.
- To many people's disappointment, this trophy wasn't available on any New Year's Day for the next 9 years.
- On December 14, 2009, the Trophy Maker claimed in The Loathing Herald-Times-Tribune-Messenger that he would be offering this trophy again. However, Mr Skullhead made it clear in this forum post that the bulletin was a joke.
- It was reintroduced during the 2015/2016 New Year:
- on January 1, 2016 players reported not getting the trophy at rollover despite not wearing pants. Players were advised to keep their pants off until Arizona's New Year (12:00 AM MST or 07:00 UTC), and those that did were duly rewarded;
- in the following year the trophy was delayed by one day - one had to keep their pants off during rollover on New Year's Day rather than New Year's Eve. An appropriate announcement was made in the form of a trivial update.
- In order to qualify for the trophy (at least during the 2015/2016 new year), one had to have logged in within the last 7 days before new years.
- On January 1, 2022, without warning, the time changed to rollover.
- This trophy's image name is "not_wearing_any_pants.gif", which is pretty self-explanatory.
- As of 2017 it is available post ascension.
