System message

System Messages are shown in KoL chat, and stand out as they are written in bright red. These messages usually contain important information that is often useful to the people currently in chat. These messages alert KoL players to a variety of things, such as updates (trivial and main), when rollover is about to occur, when the Jick and Skully show is about to begin, or just about anything that the development team feels is necessary to tell people that are currently in chat. (During New Year's Eve 2005, Mr Skullhead sent a system message to everyone telling them to remove their pants.) System messages can be clicked like normal users, but instead of going to a user profile the message "You clicked on a System Message. System Messages are messages that The System sends out into the chat when it has something very important to say." will appear instead.
