Special challenge paths are runs that place an arbitrary restriction on you. This is different from the other paths, which place dietary restrictions on the player.
The Summer 2011 challenge path is Bees Hate You. You can not use any items or familiars that have the letter "b" in them. Equipment with the letter "b" will cause you damage. There are also special monsters that may be encountered.
