Cooking is the fine art of making food out of ingredients. Some recipes produce edible food, others only produce ingredients that require further cooking. While most of the recipes can be made by anyone, only those who have learned Advanced Saucecrafting can use cooking to make those recipes out of scrumptious reagents. Also, recipes made with dry noodles require the training of Pastamastery. And only those who have learned the most ancient secrets of cooking, such as Transcendental Noodlecraft or The Way of Sauce, will be able to make those recipes requiring dry noodles and MSG or the scrumdiddlyumptious solution, respectively.
Cooking requires an E-Z Cook Oven™ in your inventory or either a Chef-in-the-box or a Clockwork Chef-in-the-box at your campsite, any of which will reveal the cook stuff link in your inventory. An E-Z Cook Oven™ allows you to cook one recipe at the cost of one adventure, while a boxed chef allows you to cook for zero adventures. However, after a certain number of uses your chef will explode, providing you with a random assortment of its component parts and food items—including some food that cannot be obtained by any other means.
