elven hardtack
Real elven bread, or limbos, as it is called in the elven tongue, is light enough to melt in your mouth but sustains your strength all day long.
This is what elves cook up between fighting for their lives and cowering in fear from encroaching doom. It's considerably less refined, but still better than what the dwarves cook up.
