Normally:

	You zap your opponent with the Gnomitronic gizmo, dealing 6-15 damage.

As the finishing blow:

	The gizmo buzzes in your hand, then delivers a powerful shock.
	You acquire an effect: Super-Charged (duration: 5 Adventures)

or

	The gizmo buzzes in your hand, then delivers a powerful shock.
	You acquire an effect: Super-Mega-Charged (duration: 5 Adventures)

or

	The gizmo buzzes in your hand, then delivers a powerful shock.
	You acquire an effect: Super-Mega-Ultra-Charged (duration: 5 Adventures)

or

	The gizmo buzzes in your hand, then delivers a powerful shock.
	You acquire an effect: Super-Mega-Ultra-Hyper-Charged (duration: 5 Adventures)

After the first time per battle:

	You try to fire the Gnomitronic gizmo, but nothing happens. Looks like its magneto-capacitrons need to recharge, or... something.

If used as a finishing blow against a monster that doesn't have enough hit points:

	The gizmo buzzes in your hand, but nothing happens. Guess that monster didn't have enough quarks, or quantums, or whatever this thing runs on.

If used against a monster and you already have one of the charged effects:

	You try to fire the Gnomitronic gizmo, but nothing happens. Looks like its magneto-capacitrons need to recharge, or... something.

Notes

• The monster level of the monster defeated with this item determines which effect you receive. Very low level monsters give no effect. Higher level monsters give higher level effects.
• 5% is added to all attributes for each prefix in the effect name (so Super-Mega-Ultra-Charged gives +15%).
• The easiest way to make sure this item works is to CLEESH the monster, then use this item. This one-two punch will ensure the buff. Note also that the CLEESHED monster seems to produce the same buff as the standard version (despite having very few hit points)
• This item is not consumed upon being used, unlike most combat items. However, if blocked by the Naughty Sorceress, your Shadow Class, or the Bonerdagon, it will still be lost.

References

• The last line of the item description "It probably has something to do with quantums." is likely a reference to Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels where many of them (such as Pyramids) contain variations of the line "It's probably because of quantum." The quest it comes from, Going Postal, shares a title with a Pratchett book.
