Class: Turtle Tamer
Level: 1

You follow up the attack with a vicious headbutt, delivering X additional damage.

Notes

  • The amount of damage depends on your level and the helmet you are wearing.
  • With Kneebutt, you can do a Head + Knee Combo for 8 MP.
  • With Shieldbutt, you can do a Head + Shield Combo for 9 MP.
  • With both Kneebutt and Shieldbutt, you can do a Head + Knee + Shield Combo for 13 MP.
  • Stainless steel skullcaps and plexiglass pith helmets count as turtles. Strange but true.
  • The butting skills only combine when you are a Turtle Tamer.
  • If you have a ranged weapon and you use this skill you get the following message:
You can't use Headbutt with a ranged weapon. Because, y'know, that's not how ranged weapons work.

References

  • Head butting is a fighting technique that uses the cranium to strike an opponent to cause injury or a knockout. And the the Police Department of Hubbard Township, Ohio seem to want to standardise the head butt -- only in America! In the UK, the head butt's comedy connection is via John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett's 1982 song Headbutts!, during live renditions of which Otway would head butt his microphone, risking physical injury but securing a sponsorship from Shure Microphones. In England, in a vicious act of racial stereotyping, the head butt is often known as the Scottish (or Glasgow) Kiss.
