- The "series of beatings [...] suffer from them immediately" line alludes to a line (also by Schwarzenegger) from the film Kindergarten Cop.
- The use of Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes exclusively in conversation, regardless of their appropriateness, calls back to the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger sound board prank call.
- If "Mr. Loathing" is anything like Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia (both won by Arnold multiple times), it's a bodybuilding championship title.
