As you're walking past a bush, you hear a soft clinking noise, and pause to investigate. Burrowed into a little hollow next to it is a medium-sized turtle whose shell is made of interlinked metal chains.

It's definitely aware of you, and it looks a little aggressive.

Tame it

• With a turtling rod equipped

You approach the turtle, moving very slowly and leading with your turtling rod. It snaps at the end of the rod a few times, but then gets annoyed and wanders off. You grab a handful of its shed scales from the ground. They're remarkably heavy -- in fact, I'm remarking on how heavy they are right now!

You acquire 3−5 piles of turtlemail bits

• Without a turtling rod equipped

You reach out to the turtle, trying your best to exude vibrations of peace and love. The turtle isn't having any of it, and it bites the crap out of your hand before burrowing futher into the ground and out of reach.
