Northern Abandoned Building
Northern Abandoned Building

This small stone building looks to have once been a house, though other than some ancient clay pots (empty), no furniture or other decoration remains. A stone staircase built into the wall leads upstairs, and the ancient timbers forming the floor of the upper level seem solid enough to support your weight, even after all this time. Across the room from the stairs up, another set of steps lead down into a basement.

first time

Krakrox strode up the stone steps to the upper level of the building. It was open to the afternoon sky, the roof having long ago been lost to the ravages of time. There was little to see here, apart from some more clay pots in the far corner.

Crossing to examine the pots, you hear an alarming creaking from the elderly wooden timbers beneath you. Stepping as lightly as possible, you quickly open and examine the pots to find a rusty wrought-iron key. You pocket it and turn back, just in time for the creaking of the floor to turn into a *crack!* The floor collapses beneath you, dumping you unceremoniously into the room below -- fortunately unharmed, except for a slight bruising of your... pride.

You acquire an item: memory of an iron key

subsequent times

Hopefully you found everything there was to find when you were up there before, because you don't trust what remains of the floor to support your weight.
