Notes

  • Attempting to visit The Cake-Shaped Arena with this familiar for the first time each day results in a choice adventure, from which you can choose one of five different pieces of familiar equipment.

As you approach the Arena, Susie yells at you as she points at your Reagnimated Gnome.
"You can't bring that thing in here! It's falling apart!"
"Hey," you reply, "no he's not! He's doing just fine!"
She points to the ground. "Fine? Look at all of those pieces that just fell off of it! You call that fine? Pick those up, and get out of my Arena!"
She has a point. Which piece would you like to pick up first?
Take the ears
Take the lung
Take the elbow
Take the kgnee
Take the foot

You pick up the body part.
SomethingYou acquire... something. [[Data:{{{item}}}]]
Apparently you took too long, because Susie shoos you out of the arena, muttering about doing the rest herself.

As you enter the Cake-Shaped Arena, Susie turns and glares at your Reagnimated Gnome.
"Graaaaagh!" she howls, pointing at it angrily, as several bits fall off of it. What a mess.
"Sorry, sorry," you say. "I'll take care of it."
Which piece would you like to pick up first?
  • Summary of familiar equipment abilities:
Item Effect
-99999
Gnomish swimmer's ears
Gnomish coal miner's lung Blocks attacks
Gnomish tennis elbow Attacks in combat
Gnomish housemaid's kgnee Grants extra adventures after combat
Gnomish athlete's foot Delevels before combat by famweight/2?
  • If you have already picked up a piece of familiar equipment on one day, visiting the Arena again on the same day gives the following message:
Susie is probably still mad at your little Gnome buddy -- you should probably give her until tomorrow to cool off.
  • The choice adventure can be encountered while you are falling-down drunk.

History

  • When this familiar was first released, the choice adventure at the Cake-Shaped Arena consumed an adventure.

References

  • All of the pieces of equipment that you can get from Susie are named after common ailments that are associated with those particular parts of the body.
