This is a sunken chest, ostensibly full of pirate booty. It appears to be sealed pretty securely.

You try to open the sunken chest, but you are unable to do so. There's no locking mechanism that you can see, either.

Jick has said on the radio (most likely sarcastically because of the frequency of the question prompting it) that the sunken chest can be opened with the crowbarrr (also from the Obligatory Pirate's Cove) but only under certain conditions.
