Mercy me, it's a mercenary! This is the little guy that lurks in the miniature underbrush, looking to garrote your toy soldiers and steal their supplies. He's not the most pleasant guy to have around, but he is fiercely loyal, in that he stays bought.

When Used

• With meat on hand:

	The toy mercenary holds out his little hand. You give him 5-10 Meat. Then he sneaks up behind your opponent and garottes his ankles, doing 30-35 damage.

• Without meat on hand:

	You don't have enough Meat to pay the mercenary. You waste some time trying to bargain with the mercenary, but he apparently got his degree in Battlefield Debate, so he soundly trumps you.

Notes

• Unlike many combat items, but like the toy soldier, the toy mercenary does not disappear when used, instead consuming a small amount of Meat.
• The toy mercenary will be destroyed if blocked by The Naughty Sorceress or The Bonerdagon.

References

• The item description may be a reference to the episode "Black Market" of the newer Battlestar Galactica series. The episode centers on a exmilitary officer, turned mercenary who is running a black market by stealing supplies from the fleet. During the episode he orders the death of a number of characters, each of which is then executed by being garroted with piano wire.
