Hmm... my addition seems to have disappeared. Against Lord Spookyraven, it acts like a personal massager and didn't block any attack. I don't have time to make the links again, so lets hope it was a bug and is fixed. -- [[User:Stickyhands|Stickyhands]] 06:55, 7 April 2008 (CDT) | Hmm... my addition seems to have disappeared. Someone in the KoL forums has mentioned here that there might be more to this then it seems. Does it protect from more damage than the 1 damage reduction the item states? Does it fall apart due to damage absorbed or after absorbing a certain number of times? Or just randomly? --Melon 11:25, 1 April 2008 (CDT)
Level 6 Accordion Thief in HC, this protected me from i think 7 hits of a Mimic Barrel. Perhaps it removes a set amount of total damage inflicted, or maybe an amount dependent on Monster Level? Could also be 2 to N attacks given by some probability distribution. The last seems the most likely, but will require a good bit of spading. If you're interested in testing that, find some monsters that will hit you nearly all the time (using the Furry Suit would be excellent for this), and get a whole bunch of these items, and see what happens.--MindlessGames 18:27, 3 April 2008 (CDT)
Perhaps it only works on low-level monsters. I've worn it for several adventures in two MacGuffin Areas (the Hidden City and the Haunted Wine Cellar), and it hasn't blocked any damage for me yet. --Olaf the Hungry 01:35, 4 April 2008 (CDT)
I've tried the belt in the Frat House (Verge of War) with no seeming damage reduction effect over the 1 damage reduction. It has also not fallen apart yet, despite multiple hits per combat (I'm terrible at playing an SC). --DuckAndCower 11:40, 5 April 2008 (CDT)
I used it to fight the bandits in the battlefield side quest and it took all the damage for 2 turns, and I was a Disco Bandit if that matters. --Vamp6x6x6x 02:57, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
Has anyone tested it versus a Hulking Construct? --Pieces 11:49, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
I can't find the original post, but someone on the forums said that it could only block attacks that would deal up to X damage, and wouldn't block anything that hit you harder. --Deusnoctum 22:00, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
The rumor that the belt will not break if you only get hit once per battle is incorrect. Mine disintegrated the first round of combat after I equipped it. --Moe luvs u 02:42, 7 April 2008 (CDT)
