Finding new hit messages
Another recent update has been the addition of different hit messages for all weapons. Need to make a list of what hit messages for a weapon are, probably on the weapon description page, under a section called "Hit Messages". Also, some monsters may have special messages.
Data and speculations are being collected at Talk:Player Hit Messages.

Mind Control Device Drop Chances
*There's a possibility that the The Super-Secret Canadian Mind-Control Device can increase certain item drop rates on certain encounters. Players are needed to spade to see if they can find combinations which yield increase rate of drops.
Visit Talk:The Super-Secret Canadian Mind-Control Device to list your results and speculations.

This page attempts to keep track of all current projects on the wiki.

As always, try to empty the Needs Work, Needs Content, Needs Cleanup, Needs Confirmation, Needs Review and Needs Spading categories.

Monster drops

Yiab's Item Hunt has generally taken care of item/meat drop statistics from monsters.

Elemental monster type

Elements
Elements

Various monsters need their elemental type comfirmed. A monster is of that element if it's resistant to it or weak against its two corresponding others. Check here for locations that still need confirmation. See Established Standards: Location Pages#Combat Adventure Template for info on how to use the template.

Only three types of elemental damage are needed to guarantee determination of a monster's element. That is, if your equipment/active effects/familiar attack does at least 2 damage of each type.

The Cerebral Crossbow is perfect for this, as it adds +3 Cold Damage, +3 Spooky Damage, and +3 Sleaze Damage.

Monster alignment: Hot Spooky Cold Sleaze Stench None
Cold Damage inflicted 3 3 1 6 6 3
Spooky Damage inflicted 3 1 6 6 3 3
Sleaze Damage inflicted 6 3 3 1 6 3

Dealing 3 Cold Damage, 3 Spooky Damage, and 6 Sleaze Damage would conclusively prove that the monster's elemental alignment is hot.

With only 2 elements, the monster's elemental alignment is only conclusive on 4 out of 6 possible elemental types. For instance, using an icy-hot katana (with +3 Hot Damage and +3 Cold Damage), you could prove that monster had no element or that its element was hot, spooky, or cold, but monsters aligned to sleaze would be indistinguishable from those aligned to stench.

Monster alignment: Hot Spooky Cold Sleaze Stench None
Hot Damage inflicted 1 6 6 3 3 3
Cold Damage inflicted 3 3 1 6 6 3

With 1 element, you'd only be able to prove 1 out of 6 possible elemental types. For instance, this is the damage you'd deal to monsters with dirty hobo gloves equipped:

Monster alignment: Hot Spooky Cold Sleaze Stench None
Stench Damage inflicted 4 4 2 2 1 2
