Dungeons of Doom potions (also known as "bang potions") are the nine potions found (appropriately enough) in the Dungeons of Doom. They can be found in the assorted boxes and chests that are dropped by certain monsters and found in shops in the Dungeon.
The effect of each potion differs from player to player and changes after each ascension. Most of the potions grant an effect for ten to twenty rounds. These effects can be good or bad; some are particularly useful in PvP. The potion of booze is normally to be avoided, but can be particularly useful to players seeking a certain trophy.
Like everything in the Dungeons of Doom, these potions resemble their counterparts in the roguelike game Nethack. As in Nethack, throwing an unidentified potion at a monster will hint at its effect, which is very helpful now that these potions are needed to pass a certain late-game challenge.
