Most of the Kingdom of Loathing's hackers or hacker-anologues are rather nice people. We call them bugfinders, and they use their talents to look for holes in the game, reporting them to Jick. Bugfinders often receive a number of nifty rewards for their services, which prevent mass exploitation of bugs that could lead to catastrophic events.
